Privacy at Nymblr
Nymblr.co gives middle-class households a clearer read on their paychecks, investments, and goals. Protecting the financial stories you try out in the product is core to that promise.
No surprise selling or renting of data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not broker, rent, or trade customer lists. Usage analytics stay aggregate.
Your scenarios stay with you
Inputs for projections, tax runs, and lessons live in your browser's local storage unless you proactively export or share them.
Plain-language controls
We explain what optional data helps unlock, give you toggle-offs, and answer questions quickly at privacy@nymblr.co.
Information we collect
Many tools store your plan inputs locally on your device; those values are not transmitted to our servers unless you request support.
Information you provide directly
- Account or waitlist details such as your name, email address, role, and company when you sign up for access or newsletters.
- Financial inputs you type into calculators and lessons (income, spending, goals). In the current MVP, these stay client-side unless you download, email, or otherwise share them.
- Support and feedback messages, including attachments you choose to send us.
- Survey responses, beta-program questionnaires, or user research notes when you opt in.
Information collected automatically
- Standard log data (IP address, browser type, device OS, pages visited, timestamps) for security, reliability, and aggregate analytics.
- Event data about feature usage (for example, which calculators are opened) collected through privacy-screened analytics tools with IP masking and restricted retention.
- Approximate location derived from IP address to tailor tax defaults and ensure we comply with regional privacy rules.
Information from service providers
- Payment status or invoicing records from our billing and contracts vendors if you upgrade to a paid engagement.
- Security and reliability signals from hosting and anti-abuse partners that help us detect misuse.
How we use your information
- Operate, maintain, and deliver the Nymblr calculators, lessons, and supporting APIs.
- Personalize on-product recommendations, such as highlighting relevant lessons or preset tax settings.
- Improve accuracy by studying anonymous usage trends and running quality checks.
- Communicate with you about product updates, security alerts, invited betas, and educational resources.
- Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues you report.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Nymblr, our users, and the public.
Your choices and rights
You remain in control of how we use your information. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete personal information or anonymize it.
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing privacy@nymblr.co.
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive information where required by law.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or similar U.S. jurisdictions, you can exercise these rights without discrimination. We currently do not process personal information in ways that qualify as 'selling' or 'sharing' under California law.
Submit requests by emailing privacy@nymblr.co. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Retention and deletion
- Browser-stored plan inputs stay on your device until you clear them.
- Account, billing, and support records are retained only as long as necessary for business, contractual, or legal requirements, then securely deleted or anonymized.
- Aggregate analytics reports and system logs are generally kept for less than 13 months unless we must preserve them for legal or security reasons.
Security
We design Nymblr with layered safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls for employees, vulnerability monitoring, and regular reviews of dependencies. While no internet service is perfectly secure, we continually improve the controls that protect your data.
Children and teens
Nymblr is built for adults managing household finances. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or other applicable minimum age). If you learn that a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International use
Our services are designed for people in the United States. If you access Nymblr from outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices evolve. We will post the revised version with a new 'Last updated' date and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as email or in-product messages.
